SIR, Objectors to the Lowton 'megaschool' plan only have until February 25 to write to the Council opposing the scheme to build on Hesketh Meadow playing fields.

We have created a website www.heskethmeadowactiongroup.co.uk with facts and figures including those on transport, admissions, oversubscriptions, catchment area, special needs provision and the address to write to, and new info is being uploaded all the time.

We would love to put on a standard letter but Wigan Council would treat this as just one complaint, even if hundreds sent it in. You can complain about one thing, or everything.

This plan will affect everyone in Lowton, Golborne and nearby, but together, our pens can be mightier than Wigan's sword. Write in and save your community.
