I HOPED my letter in the Journal two weeks ago would had prompted our MP to possibly explain as to why he excluded his constituents the right to determine the direction of their own country in a national vote.
It would appear all party leaders have issued directives not to discuss this issue in public. An in depth look at this breed of career politicians who have no desire to discuss national issues reveals virtually no one has experience clocking in at the start of a working day, yet seek to represent people who have all their lives. Straight from 'Uni' to a think tank, progressing to spin doctor with a degree in political science or alternately a diploma in behavioural studies - in essence a degree in knitting - would render them more employable.
A very common fault line being a total lack of common sense.
Through the eyes of these behavioural commissars we, the general public, are seen as the national herd, people whose limit of vision is no higher than a raised pint of bitter, a packet of fags or the proud owner of a sky box!
Ggvernment these days runs on behavioural science, the ability to predict an exact public reaction. This skill has been honed over the last decade so what will the British people do when denied their democratic right - absolutely nothing.
An apathy of epic proportions.
How many people reading this will say 'this chap is absolutely right' but then fail to recognise themselves as one of those sheep?
I don't blame the millions of economic migrants, illegal asylum seekers, thieves and vagabonds for sinking our green and pleasant land, neither the 'who's who' in world terrorism who have been imported in thousands while our troops are dying in hundreds in Afghanistan fighting the very same people.
I don't blame foreign nationals who murder, rape and pillage.
If caught all use the Human Rights Act to humiliate their victims with our justice system fully compliant. Despite horrific crimes they are given leave to stay on the grounds they have a right to a family life and are put on full benefits and we have to pay.
I lay the blame squarely on the people who allow and encourage them to do it.
Look no further than our own politicians.
All this stems from EC directives. Can anyone please tell me why all this is necessary just to trade?
This Trojan horse has not been pushed in by Brussels, it has been pulled in by these political vandals in Westminster and has blighted our nation.
Are we able to stop it?
I have already in no uncertain terms withdrawn all support for my MP. What will they do? Most likely bin my e-mail but if they received 12,000 - 15,000 thousand e-mails, letters and phone calls doing the same would result in sheer panic.
On this coming special Sunday please if you have never attended, before make the effort and join your fellow townspeople at one of our war memorials. Hundreds of names inscribed on bronzed plate alongside our national flag resilient in sunlight. They died for it, at the very least let us fight for it.
