Health plans spell danger

I BELIEVE British people are being taken down a very dangerous path in the pursuit of profit though plans for the adoption of American style of health care where the care is only given if you can afford to pay BUPA and the like.

Consider motor insurance? Does comprehensive insurance actually mean comprehensive?

Look at the problems people endure when they become sick or injured on holiday and the 'slimy' ways these companies try to avoid paying out.

"Oh, you did not tell us that you suffered from bubonic plague in your previous life, so you don't qualify, thanks for your money but bye-bye".

Are we going to receive treatment as and when needed and to what standard and cost?

What frightens me about privatisation is although the NHS is not the best it's better than the so-called private care based on how much you can spend!

We should all support Leigh MP and Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham in his stance against privatisation.
