DARREN LEE HODGKINSON, also known as Daz, Zeb and Oggie Called to rest on the 23rd May 2020 aged 59 years. A much loved Son, Brother, Uncle, Partner and a fantastic friend. Darren will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. The funeral service will be held at the Woodlands Cemetery Worsley - family and close friends only please due to limited numbers and social distancing. Condolences and sympathy to Darren’s family, his partner and friends. It’s probably taken me over 25 years to make contact again and with regret, as a result of this very sad news. It seems only yesterday we played football in the street at Luciol Close as 7/8 year olds, with Stewart, Tony Holt and then again at Tyldesley Boys and later, Fred Longworth, in your distinctive Newcastle United kit. I think its where you got your “Zeb” nickname if memory serves me because you looked like a Zebra flying down the wing.
Rest easy mate and we’ll touch base later next time we meet over a pint!
