JOHN GERARD POYNER OBE On the 26th May 2021, JOHN GERARD peacefully passed away in Belong Village, Atherton aged 90 years. Beloved husband to Mary. Loving father to John, Christopher and Stephen and father in law to Janet, Ursula and Karen. Cherished Grandad and Great Grandad. John will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A private Requiem Mass Funeral Service will take place on Thursday 10 June 2021at 12pm at St Richards RC Church, Atherton followed by interment in Leigh Cemetery. Due to Covid Restrictions only 30 close family and friends are allowed at the church and at the graveside. Family flowers only or if so desired donations in aid of CAFOD. Dear Dr Poyner,we are so sad to hear of the passing of your beloved Dad, Vicki,myself and Graham send you our heart felt sincere condolences at this very sad time, we all would like to say a massive thank you for looking after each of us when you were at Abbey Dale Surgery, we miss you being there!!.
