OAKES Frank Frank Oakes sadly passed away in Wigan Infirmary on 16th September 2021, aged 81, after spending his last days with his family, and in the wonderful care of the staff on Astley Ward. Frank was the devoted and beloved husband of Kathleen, much-loved father of Stephen and Trish, proud grandfather of Ethan and William, and loving brother of Irene. Frank's funeral service will take place at Howe Bridge Crematorium on Friday 1st October at 12pm. Family flowers only. All donations will go to the Three Wishes Charity Minds and Memory Fund, supporting stroke and dementia patients at Wigan, Wrightington & Leigh hospitals. Anyone who knew Frank is more than welcome to attend.
