BOLTON COUNCIL Statutory Notice for an SEND special provision unit at Moorgate CP School
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Bolton Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to accommodate an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Resourced Provision at Moorgate CP School, 1 Entwistle St, Bolton. BL2 2RH.
Bolton Council is proposing to create a Resourced Provision unit at Moorgate CP, to help young children throughout their primary education by providing targeted support for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders within a mainstream school setting. In around 2018, the Council sought expressions of interest from mainstream schools to offer additional SEND provision for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Moorgate CP responded with a positive interest and following a selection process were successfully identified to host this provision. To accommodate this Resourced Provision, the Council are proposing to build a facility as an extension to the existing school building. The new facility will accommodate 6-8 primary age pupils within a discrete setting, but with immediate access when appropriate to the main school.

Increase In The Age Range At High Lawn CP School To Offer Educational Support For 2 Year Olds
Notice is given in accordance under Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013, that Bolton Council intends to permanently increase the age range of the school to accommodate 2 year old children at High Lawn OP School, Holden Avenue, Bolton, BL1 7EX.
It is proposed to permanently increase the age range of the school to enable it to offer up to 20, full time places for 2 year old children from 7:30am until 6:00pm on weekdays only, for up to 50 weeks per year, in addition to the existing provision for 3 and 4 year old nursery children that the school already offers.
