Notice of Making by Local Highway Authority of a Section 106(3) Scheme Highways Act 1980
The Warrington Borough Council (Construction of Warrington Waterfront - Centre Park Link Bridge) Scheme 2017

The Warrington Borough Council (the "Council") hereby gives notice that it has made and submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport a Scheme under Section 106(3) of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to construct as part of the new/improved highway along the existing Slutchers Lane and new highway link to Chester Road (A5060) to the north of Walton Locks and the junction with Gainsborough Road in the borough of Warrington, a bridge over the navigable waters of the River Mersey. If made, the Scheme would authorise the construction of a new road bridge across the River Mersey. Copies of the Scheme and other relevant plans and specifications may be inspected free of charge on reasonable hours from Thursday 18 January 2018 to Friday 2 March 2018 at Contact Warrington, 26-30 Horsemarket Street, Warrington, WA1 1XL between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm (4pm on a Tuesday) and at the Department for Transport, National Transport Casework Team Newcastle, Tyneside House, Skinnerbum Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE4 7AR. Any person may not later than Friday 2 March 2018 object to the confirmation of the Scheme by notice to the Secretary of State for Transport at nationalcasework@dft.gsi.gov.uk   or at National Transport Casework Team Newcastle, Tyneside House, Skinnerbum Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE4 7AR stating the grounds of objection.
