ST. HELENS COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (as Amended) - SECTION 14(1) THE COUNCIL OF ST. HELENS PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY No.652 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2018 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 23rd August 2018 the Council of St. Helens made a temporary Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall be permitted to proceed in either direction along a 507 metre long section of Public Right of Way No. 652 from Wilcock Road (GR 357435, 397790) to Penny Lane (GR 357771, 397782). An alternative 751 metre long route is provided from Wilcock Road that proceeds from Point A (GR 357435, 397790) south along the footway on Wilcock Road to Point D at the junction with Penny Lane (GR 357570, 397482), before turning east along the footway on Penny Lane to Point C (GR 357771, 397782) which is the end of the closed section of Public Footpath 652. The Order will come into force on Thursday 30th August 2018 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The reason for making this Order is to enable large scale site releveling and service diversions of underground apparatus along the section of Footpath No. 652 between Wilcock Road and Penny Lane.
