Those who love to be by the seaside needn’t stray further than the comfort of Northwich Memorial Court this June.

Britain’s Got Talent stars The D-Day Darlings will be recreating the heydays of British summer holidays with their variety show The Great British Seaside Show.

The Darlings made their first visit to Brio Entertainment venue Ellesmere Port Civic Hall last October in ‘The Songs That Won the War’ as part of Brio Entertainment’s Vintage Matinee shows.

Darlings’ founder Katie Ashby says the afternoon performance on June 13 will see Northwich Memorial Court transformed into a seaside setting complete with beach huts and deckchairs.

“This show is a musical tribute to those iconic days when families would travel to seaside resorts around Britain. If you loved donkey rides, fish and chips and a stick of Blackpool rock then this performance will bring all those favourite memories flooding back,” she added.

The nostalgic trip down memory lane will feature a feast of classic songs from Summertime Blues, and the classic Itsy Bitsy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.

There will also be tribute performances to singer, comedian and king of variety George Formby.

Brio Entertainment Manager Phil Harding said, “Here at Brio Entertainment, we want to have shows that are perfect for friends and family, and also create a welcoming and relaxed environment for our audiences. Revival Live UK shows have a unique nostalgic feel that all ages can enjoy.”

This show forms part of Brio’s Vintage Matinees, a range of shows aimed to encourage older residents to regularly enjoy shows and events. Brio has worked with the community to create an inviting and comfortable environment, at a time and price to suit. When booking The Great British Seaside Show and Revival Live UK’s The Bombshell Beaus on 18 April together, there is a 10% discount on tickets.

Tickets for The Great British Seaside Show are £12-£14 with the option to add in a traditional afternoon tea. Registered carers go free to the show when attending with a guest in care. Find out more at brioentertainment.org or by calling the Box Office on 0333 666 3366.
