Good Morning Britain will struggle to ignore all the fans calling for Piers Morgan to be ousted from the sofa after Mark Austin stood in for him on Tuesday morning.
Piers and co-host Susanna Reid were replaced during the half-term break by ITV Evening News presenter Mark and GMB regular Charlotte Hawkins.
Mark was roundly praised by the show’s viewers for his presenting, which included interviews with Stephen Hawking, Michael Gove and Ray Liotta.
Mark himself joked that Charlotte was “unlucky” to have to put up with him for another morning.
But his appearance soon had fans calling for him to replace Piers permanently.
Even Mark had a cheeky dig at Piers after the show.
Should he be watching out for his job?
