TWO events are set to air the views and voices of the public about a proposed train station in Lowton.
Transport for Leigh are hoping to engage with the younger generation by presenting the case for the station, alongside Andy Burnham, at an event at Wigan and Leigh College.
They want to hear the opinions of the generation they believe will be benefit most from the station in the Performance Space of the Leigh Campus of the college on Sale Way on Monday, November 18, at 10am.
A public presentation and consultation on the station is also being held on Monday in Leigh Sports Village’s Banqueting Suite on Sale Lane at 7pm.
The station would link the Liverpool-Manchester line to the high speed rail link - an issue for which a seperate roadshow is being held at Leigh Sports Village on Friday, November 22.
