PAINT donated by Dulux’s Let’s Colour Project has given a sports club a more welcoming look.
Golborne Parkside Sports and Community Club on Rivington Avenue has not only had a lick of paint but thanks to artistic volunteer Stephen Waterworth, it has an impressive rugby themed mural too.
It depicts professional rugby player Danny Tickle, who started his career at the club and recently visited the club to see the mural for himself and sign it.
Greg Wilde, chairman of the events committee who nominated the project, said: “We’re really pleased that the club looks more welcoming. Having Danny on our walls is really inspiring to the people who come here to play sports - after all, he started off here and is now a very successful player.”
The paint was donated by Dulux Decorator Centres in Leigh. To find out more about the Let’s Colour Project, visit www.letscolour.co.uk.
