PUPILS have collaborated with the son of an author to bring to life his debut play.
Stephen Delaney has adapted his father Joseph’s popular Spooks books for the stage and worked with children at Golborne High School and Lowton Junior and Infants School to perform it.
The Spook’s Apprentice Play Edition was performed by the pupils for other schoolchildren at a launch event for the Words Festival 2014 at Haigh Hall that was attended by Stephen and Joseph.
Stephen said: “I am very fortunate as a teacher, to have Joseph Delaney as my father. It inspired me to create my own Spook and perform my writing workshops.
“To have adapted The Spook's Apprentice into a published play especially working with my father is an incredibly proud moment.”
