A CHARITY evening has raised thousands of pounds for people affected by the typhoon in the Philippines.
Organised by 16 churches working together, the fundraiser for a Philippine village relocation and resettlement was attended by Father Patrick O'Donohue who has served in the Philippines for 40 years.
The evening which was held at Sacred Heart Centre in Leigh raised £3,209.82 which will go towards housing those who survived Typhoon Haiyan in November 2013.
