VISITORS to a children’s centre have been learning all about farm animals thanks to funds from a housing provider.
More than 80 children and adults from Hindley Children Centre spent a day at Smithshall Farm in Bolton, home to a variety of animals including cows, pigs and hens.
On the day the families fed, cuddled and learnt all about the animals while taking advantage of the farm's adventure playground and tractor tours.
The trip was funded by the Leigh-based Adactus Housing Association from its neighbourhood fund.
Jo Robinson, a Sure Start co-ordinator, said: “We would like to thank Adactus for the award.
“Everyone had a brilliant time at the farm and we hope we can arrange similar trips in the future.”
The centre based on Mornington Road is dedicated to improving family life and providing support so children can have the best start in life.
