A TEN-year-old schoolboy has raised more than £200 for a Hindley hospice by swimming 100 lengths.
Dylan Dean, from Platt Bridge, raised £220 for Wigan and Leigh Hospice after swimming 100 lengths at 25-metre Hindley Community Pool.
Mum Sara Hawkins, a nurse on the Inpatient Unit at the hospice, said: “He wanted to swim 100 lengths of a 25-metre pool in two hours but did it in one hour and 38 minutes.
“We’re so proud of him.”
