A LAST-GASP free kick winner for Stockport Georgians condemned Atherton Town to a first defeat since Christmas.
Town's unbeaten run had seen a climb to sixth in the Manchester League Premier Division table and they certainly did enough against the top three Stockport side to have taken something from the game.
"We can't really complain," accepted manager Shaun Lynch. "We played really well but couldn't quite break them down."
The Leighton Packaging Man of the Match vote went to 17-year-old debutant centre half Danny Rushby. Town's Reserves lost 1-0 in the semi final of the cup to Salford Victoria.
