WHEN the Queen stopped off in Leigh during the Silver Jubilee celebrations marking her 25 years as monarch, some of those in the crowd who greeted her were not amused.
They complained that after waiting five hours at a good vantage point they couldn’t get a glimpse of her because councillors and their wives blocked their views by standing on chairs.
During the Queen’s 20-minute stay photographer Brian Cockram captured the moment when a well-wisher handed her a bouquet of flowers. Do you know the lady?
