VIOLENCE and aggression are regular hazards at hospitals in Wigan borough.
Raising staff and public appreciation of such incidents and giving advice on how to react to it is one of the themes of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust's Health & Safety Awareness Week which begins on Monday at all its hospital sites.
This is part of a programme of work to mitigate risks with a specific health and safety topic for discussion each day running from Monday to Friday.
John Buck, Trust Health and Safety Manager said: "The key message to be delivered is that Health and Safety is everyone's responsibility."
