FOLLOWING my success in reuniting a couple of long lost footballing friends a couple of weeks ago I've been asked to find a Leigh girl who hit the hippie trail with a pal in the 60s.
Sheila Hamer lived in Noble Street, Leigh, in 1964 when she and Maureen Wyatt, of Dakins Road, Leigh, set off for a new life working in hotels in Torquay.
Now Sheila is hoping to trace Maureen who returned to Leigh in the late 70s/early 80s and is believed to live in the Holden Road area. She had a brother John and sisters Carol and Pat and a daughter Tracey Sheila, who is now Sheila Montgomery, and has sons David and John born in the 60s, stayed in the south west and lives in Tiverton, Devon.
