A COLLEAGUE who spotted water pouring from the yard of a shop at the junction of Thirlmere Street and Railway Road rang in and asked me to report it to United Utilities.
He was told that copper piping had been ripped from the outside toilet and water had been running freely for over a week.
I wish I hadn't bothered, I was made to feel like a hoaxer.
The number of questions I had to answer and couldn't was beyond belief and I was so irritated at the end I didn't care whether they came to fix it or not.
That's the last time I try to help save water.
