MEMBERS of the Atherton Community Hub are appealing for people to volunteer to help build a much needed youth centre at Victoria Mill on Bolton Old Road.
The community centre for under 18s will house a cafe and offer them opportunities for full and part time jobs as well as a range of activities.
They will be able to enjoy dancing, an indoor driving range and film nights.
Building supplies for the new venture will be arriving at the site on Saturday morning and anyone willing to offer help is asked to meet at the front doors at 8.30am.
Jenny Mills, secretary of Atherton Community Hub, said: “We got told by loads of people that ‘if you need help just ask’, so we are asking.
“The kind of support we need is physical help. If you can come along please do and help us to make our community a better place."
