A MAN had to be cut free from his car following a two-car collision in Atherton.
Emergency services were called to Leigh Road in Howe Bridge at 7.30pm last night, Wednesday after two cars, a black BMW and a grey Audi A3 were involved in a crash.
Fire engines from Leigh and Atherton attended the scene where they began to cut the trapped BMW driver out of his vehicle.
A female passenger in the BMW managed to remove herself from the car without assistance.
Police immediately sealed off the road.
The man was taken by an ambulance to Salford Royal Hospital where he is being treated for what police say are non-life threatening injuries.
The female passenger and the driver of the Audi were also taken to hospital by emergency services.
The street was reopened at around 10pm.
No arrests have been made.
