A DOG that fell down a manhole was rescued by firefighters on Sunday afternoon.
Fire crews from Leigh and Bolton came to the pooch’s aid after it became trapped down a 10-metre deep hole in Park Avenue, Golborne.
Firefighters spent around an hour at the scene, after being called at 1pm.
They pulled the dog to safety using rope equipment.
