ESTATE agents in Leigh and Lowton have raised £600 for a young boy with leukaemia and cerebral palsy.
Lewis Williams Residential Lettings on Lord Street, Leigh, and Stone Cross Estate Agents on Stone Cross Lane North, Lowton, sold raffle tickets for the chance to win a special shirt signed by Leigh Centurions player Reni Maitua in aid of 11-year-old Ben Robinson.
The Ben’s Wish charity was set up by the Centurions' Dayne Weston to raise money for the boy from Leigh, who is undergoing cancer treatment, and his family to go on the holiday of a lifetime to Jamaica.
The shirt depicts Ben's dream trip.
Andrea Carrey, director at Lewis Williams Residential Lettings, said: “As a local company, when Dayne Weston asked us to be involved with Ben's Wish we were more than happy to raffle a signed Reni Maitua shirt off to raise money for such a good cause and to help this young boy, who is a Centurions fan.”
The raffle was won by Shaun Collier and drawn by Centurions' Ben Reynolds.
Raffle tickets were sold at the estate agents' offices and at Smith's Bistro on Church Street, Leigh.
