THIS week we take a look back at a 1900s postcard of Beech Walk in Leigh.
The site opposite Pennington Hall Park is a renowned beauty spot.
The street was a popular place for courting couples to walk along.
They would often meet at the lamppost to go on a picturesque stroll.
The postcard has a geometrically-influenced Art Deco border and shows a line of trees, which were taken down between 1900 and 1904 after becoming diseased.
The postcard was widely circulated in 1913.
If you have a photograph you would like us to use in Look Back at Leigh send it to newsdesk@ leighjournal.co.uk with your name, address and a daytime telephone number, plus details of when the picture was taken and what it shows.
