TWO guided walks and an exhibition have been organised to celebrate a year of creative work at an arts centre.

The events will take place at the Turnpike Centre in Leigh next Saturday, March 25.

Walks around the Market Street and Railway Road areas in the morning will be followed by an art exhibition in the afternoon.

The Market Street walk will start and finish at Leigh Library and be led by Julie McKiernan.

It will begin at 10.30am and last about 45 minutes.

John Medling will lead the walk around Railway Road, which will start at the front of the old college building at 11.30am and conclude at The Coffee Stop approximately 20 minutes later.

A maximum of 15 people can be booked for each of the walks.

The art exhibition called Made in Leigh will begin at 1pm in the Turnpike Centre's Derby Room.

It will include a display of art by the centre’s workshop groups, with some of the work inspired by memories of the town.

There will be an opportunity to sign up to the centre’s workshops on the day and refreshments will be available to buy.

To book a place on either of the walks e-mail contactus@healthyarts.org.uk or call Martin on 07542 114383.
