DOG owners and their precious pooches are being invited to enjoy a family fun day out on Easter Monday.

The Dogs Country Club in Lowton has organised a host of activities to help visitors have a happy Easter.

There will be steeple chase and dock diving competitions for your four-legged friends to take part in as well as a doggy Easter hunt and play sessions for all breeds and sizes.

Prizes and rosettes will be awarded to the competition winners.

The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, offering photograph opportunities.

There will also be fun party games for pooches, adults and children to enjoy and a dog body language seminar and scent workshop for any training enthusiasts in attendance.

A spokesman for the Slag Lane club said: "We have put together a full day’s entertainment catering to your dog and all the family.

"Bank holidays are a great time for the family to get together, and any dog lover knows a family day out is not complete without our four-legged friends."

Most activities can be booked on the day, or you can buy an all day pass for £12 per dog.

Places for the dock jumping and Easter treasure hunt have to be booked in advance.
