WE are now just hours away from opening night of the Three Towns Operatic Society’s productions of HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury.

The two shows for the price of one will be held at St Joseph’s Concert Hall, Chapel Street, Leigh, from tonight, Tuesday, to Saturday.

Operatic classic HMS Pinafore tells the story of a sailor who falls in love with his captain’s daughter, a treacherous villain, an elopement at midnight, the First Lord of the Admiralty who has never been to sea and a foster mum with a dark secret – can her revelations save the day?

Trial by Jury is set in a court of law to hear a case of breach of promise of marriage. Edwin has jilted the heartbroken Angelina and says he cannot help falling in love with other women and would make a poor husband.

The judge, having heard all they have to say, proposes his own solution to the case.

The entertainment starts at 7.30pm each night and tickets to see both shows are £13 to £11.

Concessions are available.
