A WOMAN has been found guilty of a racially aggravated assault.
Marie Darbyshire was convicted of attacking a man in Leigh on July 14 by Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The 37-year-old, of Abbey Lane, Leigh failed to turn up for the trial and was convicted of the offence in her absence.
She had previously admitted stealing £30 worth of alcohol and energy drinks from the man on the day she assaulted him.
Darbyshire also faces a charge of stealing razor blades and perfume to the value of £206.50 from a Tesco supermarket in Leigh on July 30.
A warrant without bail was issued for her arrest.
