AN Indian Restaurant has cleaned up its act in its latest food hygiene inspection.
Zest in Astley was awarded five stars after a visit by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) only four months after receiving a score of one in June.
Five stars is the highest possible award given by the FSA with the East Lancashire Road eaterie rated as 'good' in hygienic food handling, the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building as well as the management of food safety.
Manager of Zest Modhu Miah said: “We are really happy with the new results and the issues the inspectors found in the previous visit have all been fixed and sorted out.
“We have all worked hard and we hope people now know we are even better than we were before.”
