A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after two people were stabbed during a burglary at their home in Hindley on Christmas Day.

Devenn Sutherman, 25,  of Nelson Square, Bolton has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated burglary and a section 47 assault.

He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

Shortly before 3.30am on Monday, December 25 police were called to an address on Corner Lane in Hindley to reports that a man and a woman had been stabbed.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Both victims are recovering from their injuries.
