ATHERTON Sacred Heart RC Primary School has been shortlisted in Tescos Bags of Help scheme to improve its outdoor children’s area.
It has a set out a project to replace a large area of its playground with an all-weather surface and install play equipment.
The school also want to remark the playground for children’s games.
Grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 are awarded by the supermarket.
Miss Carrie Morrow, Headteacher said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted.
"Our playground improvement project will bring exciting changes for our children and we look forward to raising much needed funding through Tesco Bags of Help to make this happen."
Customers can vote for projects in Tescos stores in Leigh and Atherton in March and April.
