A HOMEBUILDER has announced it has acquired land to build 99 homes in Leigh.
A development of more than seven acres between Corner Lane and Tiverton Avenue comprising of three and four bedroom detached houses and three-bedroom semi-detached properties will be built by Bellway Homes.
The development will be called Kingswood Park, with Bellway stating it is looking to target first-time buyers, families and people looking to downsize.
Kingswood Park will be Bellway's third in the area following Pocket Green in Lowton and Summerhill Park in Atherton.
Sales director at Bellway Homes Louise Chamberlain said: “We are thrilled to announce our plans to build 99 three and four bedroom properties at Woodland Grange in Leigh.
"This latest land acquisition further enhances our presence in the area.”
A sales launch at the site is expected to take place this summer and two showhomes will be opened later this year.
Prices have yet to be released.
The housebuilder will also make funding available in the community towards affordable housing, open space and a contribution to highways in the area.
