ATHERTON Carnival is set to return on Sunday, June 24 for its ninth year.
A colourful parade involving unusual vehicles will start at Meadowbank playing fields on Gloucester Street from noon and take a tour of the town.
It will then return to the playing fields where entertainment will be provided such as a large funfair, music and group performances including dance.
There will be a host of children's activities on offer such as the chance to meet popular TV characters.
The free event, which attracted more than 1,000 people last year, will include a range of stalls at the event.
If you would like to hold a stall at the carnival visit the Facebook page Atherton Carnival 2018 for more information.
