AN air ambulance helicopter has been deployed outside a high school this afternoon, Wednesday, after a crash between two cars.
The helicopter and two ambulances were sent to Manchester Road in Astley, outside St Mary's Catholic High School, around 3.25pm after reports of a road traffic collision between a blue Vauxhall Agila and a black BMW X5.
One person has been treated with a head injury at the scene.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "There are not believed to be any serious injuries."
Firefighters were also in attendance for around an hour.
