FIREFIGHTERS tackled a garden shed fire this morning. Thursday.

Three fire engines were sent to Mosley Common Road in Boothstown at around 9.30am where crews fought the flames with two breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one jet and an extension ladder.

They were on the scene for an hour and thirty minutes with no-one reported to have been hurt in the fire.

The fire was spotted by a resident as she was getting off the bus.

A road closure was in place while firefighters put it out.
