A MOTORBIKE rider is in a "critical condition" in hospital after a crash on Friday night.
Police were called to the junction of Westleigh Lane and Abbey Lane in Leigh at around 9.15pm after a collision between a Yamaha motorbike and a red Vauxhall Zafira.
The motorbike rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is still having treatment.
The driver of the Vauxhall stayed at the scene to speak with officers.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Police Constable Stephen Bielizna, of Greater Manchester Police's Specialist Operations, said: “A man has been left in hospital with serious injuries, and while our thoughts remain with him as he receives treatment, we are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this this collision.
“We believe a number of people may have witnessed this incident and I would urge them to come forward with any information, dashcam footage or images they have.”
