A COUPLE from Leigh realised their dreams on Thursday after efforts were made by the community to ensure they got married.
Ann Marie Bloxson, 53, and John Melling, 51, who both live in Wigan Council supported accommodation and have been together for eight years, tied the knot at Leigh Town Hall.
Community groups and council staff rallied round to raise funds to pay for important items for their big day such as John's suit and the wedding cake.
After saying "I do" to each other, Ann Marie and John celebrated with their close family and friends at Compassion in Action on Leigh Road.
