POLICE today appealed for information after a digger was used to damage vehicles at a scrap dealers.
Offenders entered the yard of a scrap dealers at Mort lane Farm on Mort Lane in Tyldesley.
A JCB-style digger was then used to damage numerous vehicles stored at the site, as well as an unoccupied building, before it was driven into a nearby pond.
Detective Andrew Partington of GMP’s Wigan Division said: “This was a brazen act of criminal damage that has adversely affected a hardworking business owner.
“We’d appeal to anyone who has information to contact police immediately.”
The break-in happened at around 11.30pm on Monday, June 25.
