GIRLS from Christ Church Primary School in Padgate have become Cheshire champions in orienteering.
Mika Bailey (year five), Maria Bird (year six) and Amber Wilcock (year five) found their way to success at the Cheshire and Warrington 2018 Summer School Games County Finals in Macclesfield.
The triumph was mapped out after winning the qualifying competition run by Warrington School Sports Partnership at Orford Hub a fortnight earlier,
A second Christ Church team finished second in the WASSP event and fourth in Macclesfield.
Ruth Rowlinson, PE lead for Christ Church, said: “The girls worked really well as a team on the day and supported each other throughout the games at every stage.”
The school also had a team represent Warrington in the county finals at quad kids athletics, finishing seventh.
It has been a great end of the year for sporting events for Christ Church, with the rugby team winning the St Peters Wolfie Challenge Cup earlier this month.
