The car that crashed into the traffic lights on Atherleigh Way in Leigh
THIS is in the scene of a crash on Atherleigh Way in Leigh in the early hours of this morning, Friday.
Police say the incident was caused after a Ford Fiesta cut across another car causing the driver to swerve out of the way which led to her colliding with a set of traffic lights.
The collision happened near the junction near The Railway Pub on Twist Lane at around 2.15am.
Firefighters attended the scene after smoke was coming from the car and made the vehicle safe.
The woman driver was also treated for shock by paramedics.
Officers have confirmed the Fiesta has been identified by CCTV and enquiries are ongoing to find it.
