POLICE have issued an appeal after a possible stab victim with a "bloody face" knocked on a door at a property in Tyldesley requesting an ambulance.

At around 7.30am this morning, an unknown white male knocked on an address on Cherrington Drive asking for an ambulance as he had been "assaulted and possibly stabbed".

He is described as “tall and thin with a close shaved head wearing a black jacket, black pants and carrying a black bag” and has an injury described as a “head wound, black eye and a bloody face”.

He walked off towards Manchester Road before ambulance or police crews managed to see to him.
