A MAN has been jailed after a robbery ended with a car crash.
Declan West, of Ormskirk Road, Pemberton, was found guilty of the robbery of a woman's Mitsubishi Lancer car on Etherstone Street in Leigh on May 12, 2017.
The 28-year-old was sent to prison for five-and-a-half years for robbery and breaching a suspended sentence.
He was found not guilty of having an offensive weapon in a public place and aggravated vehicle taking.
A short time after the robbery of the car, the Mitsubishi Lancer was involved in a crash on Newton Road in Lowton.
West was sentenced at Bolton Crown Court in September.
