THE Three Towns Operatic Society has celebrated its 50th anniversary in style.
Founder members Neville Parry, David Kay, Margaret Laithwaite, Susan Shaw, Kathleen Sandiford, Rosemary and Peter Aldred were at their ball at Leigh Masonic Hall.
Chairman Ann Batchelor and other society members were also at the event, where music was provided by band Unit 22.
Vice chairman David Kay, who has performed in every production, was one of the members who gave a speech.
A timeline was on display of past shows, which includes their popular Gilbert and Sullivan musical productions.
The group will be holding an anniversary concert on November 16 and 17 at St Joseph’s Hall in Leigh which will include Broadway and West End songs as well as popular and classical music.
