LEIGH MP Jo Platt has sent her "sympathy and support" to the 60-year-old victim of a firebomb attack in Leigh who is in hospital in critical condition.
A woman in her 60s was rushed to hospital with serious burns after a house was set on fire Montreal Street, Crankwood, Leigh just before 12.30am Tuesday, October 16.
The occupants escaped from the address and a woman, believed to be in her 60s, was taken to hospital with serious burn injuries. She remains in a stable condition.
Police would like to trace two men who were seen outside the property around the time of the incident.
Expressing her concern Jo Platt said: "My thoughts are with the woman who has fallen victim to such a horrific attack last night.
"My sympathies are with her and her family and I hope she makes a rapid recovery.
"I have been receiving updates from the police and fire service throughout the day who I thank for their incredible response.
"They have my full support in investigating and bringing justice."
