The refurbishment will see the Lord Street pub reopen as the Weavers Arms on Saturday, October 27 and boast a completely new look, with updated décor and a modernised bar that will feature six new hand-pulls, to facilitate the pub's transition to a cask ale destination.

The pub will open with the best of the cask favourites on offer, from London Pride and Doom Bar to Bombardier and Old Speckled Hen.

It’s not just the cask ale drinkers that are set to benefit from the upgrade however, the reopening will see the introduction of two-for-one hand-mixed cocktails, all day every day, as well as a range of craft beers, including the popular Punk IPA.

The refurbishment will also see the addition of a fifteen new HD TVs, five of which will be situated in new booths, carefully designed around the pub's sport fanatics. Each of the booths will also be equipped with charging points for the ultimate customer convenience.

General manager, Sarah Brown, and her team will be celebrating the opening of the brand-new Weavers Arms on Friday, November 2, inviting customers to join them in raising a complimentary glass of fizz.

There will also be a selection of canapés available to showcase the new menu.

“It’s very exciting,” said Sarah, “I can’t wait to see the finished article. It’s not just the pub’s look that’s getting a makeover – we’re introducing Monday Movie Nights, Karaoke Friday and DJ-led party nights on Saturday too.

“We are going to be focusing heavily on meeting our customers’ needs, we will be asking for a lot of feedback – especially with our cask ale offer – so we can really ensure we’ve got the best selection available.

"There are some lovely local breweries nearby, so I’m really looking forward to getting some of them involved in the Weavers Arms. ”

Other things to look out for at the pub include, a Smart Phone Quiz every Thursday, Tuesday’s Bingo Night and a Family Day every Sunday.
