A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed after stealing a quantity of meat.
Barbara Sankoh, of Selwyn Street, Leigh, admitted taking meat worth £68.36 from Marks and Spencers on Thursday.
The 38-year-old had only been given a community order two days previously on Tuesday after taking groceries to the value of £110.95 from Tesco Extra in Leigh the day before.
Sankoh, whose previous shoplifting record was considered, was given a total sentence of five months and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £115.
She was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Friday.
