A MAN who carried a knife in public has been handed a suspended sentence.
Dale Stanley, of Glebe Street, Leigh, admitted being in possession of a lock knife on Leigh Road on October 4.
The 24-year-old was given a sentence of four months suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £115 and court costs of £85.
Stanley appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
